“富裕病”流行

得了“富裕的流感”？现代社会中，很多人因为拥有或盲目追求财富而迷失了自我，反而使自己心理负担过重，或行为不当，他们其实是患上了“富裕病”。 

Affluenza, a portmanteau of affluence and influenza, is a term used by critics of consumerism. It is defined as "a painful, contagious, socially transmitted condition of overload, debt, anxiety, and waste resulting from the dogged pursuit of more". 
“富裕病”由affluence（富裕）和（流感）两个英文单词混成而来，是消费主义批评人士使用的一个词汇，指的是“由于总想得到更多，而导致的个人负担过重、负债、焦虑和浪费。这种状态令人痛苦、会互相传染，也会在社会中蔓延。”

It is the negative psychological or behavioral effects of having or pursuing wealth, as irresponsible acts and feelings of self-doubt or guilt. 
“富裕病”是拥有或追求财富所带来的负面的心理或行为影响，比如不负责任的行为和自我怀疑及负罪感。

英国心理学家Oliver James认为，在消费主义国家中较高的精神失调比率亦是对财富的过度谋求的后果。他将富裕病定义为“给予金钱，财产，社会地位，个人外表及名誉高度的重视”（placing a high value on money, possessions, appearances (physical and social) and fame）。
